Ok, I know it’s basically too late for any DIY Halloween ideas, but actually, is it? It isn’t! Because you can do this DIY pumpkin planter project in about 30 seconds. and it’s actually super cute!

Seriously, this is the easiest Halloween decor ever!

Step 1: Buy a trick or treating jack-o-lantern pumpkin. Or dig one out of storage.

Step 2. Add a house plant.

Ta-da!

Now, add to your front porch, mantle, or wherever you need a little touch of Halloween. Honestly, I had fun just “swapping” the pots on some of my regular plants in their regular spots. It was the easiest way to make a space feel decorated and our kids thought it was so fun to find these festive touches sprinkled throughout.

Not to mention, that this was free.

You don’t even need to buy new buckets because you aren’t actually planting the plants in them, just sitting the pots in there. So when it’s time to go trick-or-treating, you just pop the plant out and get ready to drop the candy in!

I even had some fun with other shaped bowls and buckets. And if your bowl/bucket matches the shape of your flower pot, you won’t even have to remove it, just set the whole thing in there.

I used to not decorate much for Halloween, but lately, it’s been really fun to get more into the spirit. It’s been fun to find our own “happy” Halloween vibe.
