We’ve recently found and ended up with a few country-themed items and we aren’t sure how to best use them. So, we figured, why not ask for some advice from you guys?
First up in the line up of possible pieces: the rock rakes.
I’m thinking I’d like to mount them in the garage or on the deck to hold garden tools or even bar/drink stuff…something real Pinterest-y—right? Only I don’t have an exact use in mind.
Next up: the crock.
I talked about this a little bit in this post. When my Grandma Betty gave it to me, she was thinking it would be a place to put a plant on our deck. I’m thinking it will be better to use inside. Ideas so far have been to hold umbrellas or fireplace tools, but I think there has to be something better…
Next, the watering can.
Again, I’m thinking something on the deck…possible just as it is…or maybe with a flower inside? I like that idea but it isn’t super easy to maintain that way so I’m not sure.
I love all of these pieces, and I have a lot of ideas for using them, but I need to get some additional perspective, so I’m asking for your ideas!

For the rakes you could use it as a jewelry organizer (mainly necklaces) or as a holder for wine glasses. The rest I don’t really have good ideas for 🙂

Yes, put that crock inside! Those things are getting more and more rare and they are super expensive if you find them at an antique store. Take good care of it. It probably would be ok outside for plants, but I think inside you get to show it off more. We have cat food in one that I made a lid for. I know right now that wouldn’t work for you. It would look neat in the kitchen I think if you could find a place to fit it in there.
I like the jewelry organizer idea, but also your suggestion to hold tools in the garage.

I was going to suggest a jewelry organizer, too… That’s what I remember seeing on Pinterest. Or maybe even a key organizer. Also, my mom has an old watering can that she uses as a flower pot, and it looks great! 🙂
