So, remember when I complained and complained about wanting a new dresser for our bedroom so we can start making some progress in there?

Well, big news, we found one!

Actually, we found a dresser and a chest that match. It’s not a full bedroom set since the bed and nightstands won’t really match, but that suits us better anyway as we aren’t especially matchy-matchy people.

I know, I probably should have waited to tell you guys about it until it was actually here and in the room and we could show you pictures, but I just couldn’t hold it in any longer!

I’m super excited to get the delivery that will replace this freebie hand-me-down chest that barely fits all Hubs’s socks and shirts and other unmentionables ((notice the corner of something sticking out of the bottom drawer?):

And this faded white dresser that I had in my bedroom as a little girl at my parents’ house that always pinches my hand when I try to shut the drawers because they are too full:

(Side note: We I am going to use this time to go through my clothes over the next week to get rid of some of the pieces I just don’t wear anymore. It’s time to embrace a slightly simpler life, especially since I work from home now and hardly ever wear clothes other than workout stuff, jeans, PJ’s, and leggings. Here’s to a garage sale in our future!)

Yes, we’re thankful for these pieces, and yes, they served us well, and yes, they’ll get moved into other functions in the house (we’re thinking guest bedroom and basement right now…), but I’m also super excited to make room for the new stuff! And we’re super thankful for the gift from Hubs’s grandparents who made the purchase of brand new, beautiful, big pieces possible! (Thanks!)

Here’s to being as patient as possible for the next week or so until they arrive!

What about you? Any new stuff you’re just itching to tell the world about?
