Target Registry

Guys, it’s that time again. Nope, not Tool Time, wedding time. Several of our friends and family members got engaged over the holiday season and we’ve started to receive the Save the Date cards and invitations already!  That means all those couples are now in that fun stage of their relationship when they get to register for gifts. It’s the perfect time to think about the type of life you’d like to have after you’re married, and then you get to select all the items you’ll need to start making those memories together!

Also, just for fun, let’s post a wedding photo for a little trip down memory lane. I can’t believe it’s already been 2.5 years!

So, our friends at Target asked us to check out their wedding registry catalog and see what types of items we’d want to register for. Since we’re already married and no one’s willing to buy us all these wonderful presents right now (unless you’re just itching for a reason to buy us a present!), I’ll have to settle for online window shopping. Still, it’s interesting to look back and see the kinds of things we would have registered for. It was so fun to start planning our life together by selecting items we would use after we were married!

And in case choosing items can be overwhelming, Target’s online catalog offers a bunch of awesome suggestions for you to start really thinking about the things you’ll need for your home!

Target Silverware

When we got married, and then especially after we bought our house, we imagined we’d spend a lot of time outside,  hanging out on the deck and playing outside. I’d love to say we do a great job of this, but really, we aren’t out there as much as we’d like to be, as evidenced by our resolution to start taking better advantage of our yard. Patio furniture is expensive so I don’t think we would have really registered for these, but I know I’d enjoy spending time out on our deck more if we had these chairs to sit in all the time:

There are also matching dining chairs. And they are wonderful. Who wouldn’t want to have this patio set? I think it would even encourage me to eat outside on hot July days!

The matching table is also nice, but I’m still in hopes of Hubs making an outside table for us, so maybe we wouldn’t need this one. However, if someone wanted to give it to us as a wedding present, I certainly wouldn’t have turned it down!

When we were planning our registry, I also imagined us having dinner parties and fun get-togethers with friends. I’d like to say we entertained all the time, but really, I know we should really do this more often. I love the opportunity to share our home with those we love and it’s so special to put together a memorable meal and an evening. (Otherwise known as excuses to buy and use this lovely tiered cake stand.)

There’s a matching cake stand with a cover that speaks to me, too. Hello, gorgeous! If I had the extra cash, you’d be featured proudly on our future open shelving!

You all already know my love for Target dishes and glasses and well, everything. Wyatt sometimes has to hold my hand and nearly drag me out of the store when we don’t have time to stop and shop for all the lovely things I want but don’t need. I’m on a mission to get those white ceramic and chalkboard containers, below (used as a vase for rosemary I think?)!

One of the things we did really want for our wedding for a yellow Kitchen Aid mixer. I love to bake and I imagined myself using it all the time to make delicious desserts. Thankfully, my grandma has bought one of these mixers for each of her married grandchildren so far. And yes, I’m still very enamored with our yellow one, but the silver one from Target is really snazzy, too. I also really like that fun green one!
