This weekend, Hubs and I traveled to our hometown for a quick, low-key five-year high school reunion (for me, he’s already been out of high school for 7 years…).
We knew it was going to be a small group (we didn’t have a big class and only a few seemed interesting in meeting up at this five-year mark anyway) but we ended up with only 6 people (and one who showed up after the rest of us had left–oops!). So we had lunch, potluck style, and chatted a bit before heading home.
Or to my parents’ house, in our case, where we saw another awesome summer sunset.
It was nothing especially special, which was okay, since we weren’t expecting anything large, crazy or fancy.
After, we spent the afternoon at my parents’ house chilling in the pool (until it started raining) and then hanging out with this little guy.
We watched the soccer game from the comfort of a reclining couch (although we missed being at the stadium) and got to see a win!
We ended the night with a fire and s’mores, the first of the summer for us.
It was a welcome treat since it it almost 4th of July weekend after all.
On Sunday, we headed over to Wyatt’s family’s neck of the woods. It was time for their church’s annual ice cream social. Yum.
After a few rounds of unsuccessful bingo attempts…
…we headed home to get ready for another crazy week.
Our friends Matt and Elizabeth did win though, on an incredibly lucky card…they even won the moose!
We have a bunch of things on the list this week, so wish us luck as we get back in the swing of things.
What did you do this weekend? We’d love to hear about it!
Thanks for bingo-ing with me! It was fun.
We had a great time!
Thanks for coming to the social. We always love seeing you. Sorry you didn’t win at bingo or the quilt.
No worries—it’s just fun to play, although I wish I could have taken home that beautiful quilt!
