*I think this wins as the longest title ever.
Anyway, this weekend, we had our third garage sale. (Our neighborhood hosts them twice a year.) My mom came up again to help. (Being retired seems fun–I want to do that as soon as possible-ha!)
So we spent the hottest part of Saturday making a mess of our garage (taking down a garage sale always makes a mess, doesn’t it?)
And then we did something exciting.
We got rid of the coffee table in our garage. I don’t know if I’ve ever actually shown it to you guys, but just know that it was ugly and unused…and not even ours. We found it in attic when we bought this house.
Here’s a glimpse of it, taking up space, in the upper left corner of this pic, serving as a shelf for a bunch of other crap stuff:
No, we didn’t sell it. (Sadly, it’s eluded shoppers in all three sales so far.)
Dad and Wyatt dismantled it.
Here’s another glimpse. It was wood with veneer, rounded corners, wheels, and glass panels on the top. Screaming 80s all the way.
I’m happy it will soon have a home as something more useful in someone else’s house. Although part of it still resides in our garage waiting for use in some future project.
That’s the way we are though…not wanting to waste any usable thing.
Do you keep stuff to use later, too? Please tell me it isn’t just us. Come on. Share with me the most random thing you’ve ever saved, just in case you need or want it someday down the road.
Note: I’m feeling under the weather today, which is why you’ll have to wait a few more days to hear some other exciting updates we’ve been working on. Well, it’s only exciting if draperies get you a little hot and bothered. *Hint Hint 🙂
…and until then, it now takes up space at our house as well!
Sharing is caring, right?
