I already gave you guys a little preview of our mini vacation to Texas, but I wanted to take a few more minutes and share a few more details of our super quick, super awesome trip to Texas.

And instead of telling you all about it, I thought I’d go with the whole, “picture says a thousand words,” thing and show you, via a “short” 15 minute video detailing most of our trip.

Also, as a little background information, the trip started out as a visit to Fort Worth to meet Merritt Onsa, one of my freelance writing partners, for the first time in person. We met up at a fundraising dinner for Kidmia, one of her clients. Kidmia is a nonprofit focused on ending the Ethiopian orphan crisis through family empowerment and in-country adoption. Merritt hires me to help write marketing copy for Kidmia’s newsletters, blog, and social media posts.

I think, despite the long hours in the car, that simply being away and having some time to just relax and explore with Hubs was my favorite part of the trip. I’d say our second road trip, (our first was our honeymoon!) was a success!
