And its mosquitoes and ticks and chiggers and spiders and random little flying bugs that stick on me when I’m running and leave itchy spots.Β And its squash borers. Ick.
Pretty much, summer means bugs.
But it also means sunshine and pools and vacation and, generally speaking, happiness.
So when I was searching for the perfect quote to update our mantle’s chalkboard, I knew this one was the winner. With all the goodness of summer, there will always be some not-so-good stuff that’s out of our control.
Other that that, the mantle didn’t get much of a summer update this year, mostly because I like it the way it is and I don’t want to work too hard on changing it now that I’m already planning a little bit for what I want it to look like in the fall.
Here’s a reminder of the spring look:
I did switch out the fall printable to a summer one, which I used last year in our apartment. But that’s it. Easy and breezy and fun.
What little summer updates have you made around the house? What are some of your favorite summer quotes? What are some of your least favorite summer pests?
I love the quote and the heart-burst pic.
Thanks! π
