Nothing major to share on the homefront today, mostly because we haven’t made any noticeable progress on the house or anything in it.

Today was a lazy day as I had random stuff to do around here. Translation: no time for fixing up furniture or painting any walls.

Plus, we’re in a big planning stage right now trying to figure out our budget for the upcoming year as far as what we have to spend on home repairs and remodels…or buying new cars…

On that note, it’s time for the bad news. Hubs is currently in the garage trying to fix/figure out a leak/problem with his Honda. Yes, we love our old Honda (she’s 22 years old!), but she also may cause us a few early gray hairs. It seems like it’s always something with that thing. Sometimes it’s more serious than others, and while we thought we had one problem half-way fixed over Christmas, today Hubs discovered a hose with a hole in it that was causing major leakage (uh oh) and thus, overheatage… (Yes, I know that’s not a real word.)

Still, we figure it’s nothing that can’t be fixed with a little love and a lot of time, and maybe a few swears from Hubs. We’re still crossing our fingers she gets all the way to 300,000 miles…only 9000 or so to go!

Anyway, why don’t you take the time to tell me if you’ve been doing anything in your home lately or if other tasks have you too busy to paint, prime, sand, or strip. 

(Er, maybe don’t tell me about the stripping…)

Also, yesterday, I asked you guys to vote on which project I should start first, the filing cabinet or the nightstand, and the nightstand won unanimously. Good grief. I was actually hoping for the filing cabinet since it seemed easier, but I’ll take your suggestion and figure out what to do with the nightstand. No time like the present, right?
