Since today is Hubs’ birthday, and he’s now a quarter of a century old, I wanted to share 25 things I love about him.

You can groan and moan if you want, and if that’s the case, go read this post (or this one!), it’s funnier and less mushy-gushy.

But if you want to hear 25 awesome things about my best friend, feel free to keep on reading, and if you want, share your own ideas to add to the list in a comment below!

1. He has the best smile ever.

2. He knows how to build things, like this.

3. He knows how to fix things, like radiators and brake pads.

4. He laughs at my jokes.

5. He likes to go antiquing.

6. He cuts his own hair.

7. He’s always honest, even if it means saying he doesn’t like something I’ve cooked or that my pants look weird.

8. He has simple tastes in clothes and shoes. He might be picky when he’s shopping for himself, but if I buy it, he’ll almost always wear it ’til its all worn out.

9. He gets up early every morning to go to work and provide for us. I work now, too, but I’m so thankful for his full time, consistent job that has gotten us to where we are now.

10. He almost always gets up to turn off the lights when I get into bed and forget to do it.

11. He always drives when we go places together.

12. He likes roadtrips, like the one we went on for our honeymoon.

 

13. He buys me snacks from gas stations on occasion.

14. He helps me calm down when I’m being unreasonable.

15. He has brute strength to carry heavy things, open tight lids, and just get things done.

16. He will be a great dad someday, even though he wants boys and I want girls.

17. He wears the same size shoes as me so I can always borrow his when I don’t want to get mine dirty.

18. He has an awesome family that I love.

19. He is almost always right, much to my dismay.

20. He lets me do craft projects, and sometimes helps!

21. He still gets excited when we walk through the toy aisle.

22. He’s got strong morals, strong arms, and a huge heart.

23. He does things I like, like run races, even though he doesn’t want to.

24. He kills all the spiders I find, even though he sometimes wishes I would be braver.

25. He is equal parts silly and smart, the perfect partner in this happily ever ever of a life we’re sharing.

So, there it is, my birthday list for why Hubs is so awesome. I’m blessed to be married to my best friend, and still amazed when I think about how early in life we found each other.
