Well, our living room mantle is all decked out for St. Paddy’s Day.

Marchmantle

I went with a yellow and green and rustic look because I liked it, and because I was gathering items and supplies I already had from around the house and in my craft supplies. Plus, I can add a few other springy colors and switch it up easily for Easter in a few weeks.

The chalkboard got an update with one of my favorite quotes so far. See some others here and here.

I stacked up some green books, like I did with the white and red ones for Valentine’s Day. I like the idea that different ones will get highlighted at different times of the year.

Oh, and this super awesome glass jar we found in Wyatt’s parents’ basement a few weeks ago. (It was chilling out with Teddy.)

For now, it’s filled with smooth black rocks, but I’m hoping to find something else to go in there eventually.

The wreath even got a little green with envy with all this merriment, so I added a little bow.

Super cute, right? And super easy and quick to make. I used two pieces of felt, cut like this:

And then cross over the ends like this:

And then I wrapped the small piece around and secured it by tacking it down with some green thread. (And yes, I was making these while wearing my hot pink sweats. I’m a classy, crafty lady. Good thing I’m already married, huh?)

It looks way better than any actual bow I’ve ever tied in my life, plus, it can’t come undone!

The banner was super easy and pretty fast. I just cut the pennant shapes from an old dictionary, added some quickly sketched and cut-out letters and clovers, and then taped those onto the ribbon.

The cute little felt clovers in the middle were inspired by this pin, which, of course, I found on Pinterest…where else?

cloverThey were actually pretty easy to make. I basically followed the picture above, cutting four squares and trimming the top with to make two rounded tops.

Then, I stitched them together, adding a small piece for a stem after the last piece, before connecting it back to the other side of the first one.

And since I’m only leaving this banner up for a few days/couple weeks before it’s time to decorate for Easter and spring, I actually just taped the back of them to the ribbon. Cheating maybe…but it’ll work for what I need.

Plus, it turned out pretty cute, although Hubs’ opinion on it has still yet to have been decided since he hasn’t seen it yet.

Oh, and don’t forget the FREE printable I made, which you guys can all download here.

Now, tell me about something you’re green with envy for. Is it St. Paddy’s Day themed? Or is it something awesome for your kitchen? Or maybe a new throw pillow perhaps. I’m green with envy for those every time I go into Target…
