UPDATE: The promotion for a free gig is over, but you can still purchase regularly, here

Since Will was born, I’ve been working less and “mom-ing” a lot more…but now that we’re STARTING to get into a little more of a groove during our days together, I’m thinking about how I can transition from being a “work-at-home wife” to a “work-at-home mom.” After an invite to join this #FiverrHustle challenge, one fun idea I’m planning to try is to start a Fiverr business.

fiverr

First of all, Fiverr is a website where sellers (like me) offer various products or services, called “gigs,” starting at $5.  Jobs like creating a video, designing a logo, marketing, or other random things are common to see there.

As part of the challenge, two teams were created, made up of financial-based bloggers versus lifestyle bloggers. As DIY/home bloggers, we fit into the lifestyle category. We’re in the company of some other cool bloggers:

Each blogger has 60 days to build a side business (on Fiverr) and compete to see who can earn the most money. I’m not likely to win (because I’m only working and blogging part time) but I’m happy to try to earn some extra cash by doing a few little jobs.

PLUS, there’s some freebies for you along the way! Each blogger has a code for readers who create a new account on Fiverr to purchase a free $5 “gig.” Here’s mine: LOVINGHERE2015. (If you already have an account, you can sign up with a new email address to use the code.)

For now, my favorite offered “gig” is a custom poem and a little greeting card.

I’m also going to offer customized daily to-do lists for $5 in the styles shown below. I will be happy to edit my design to include your color choices and custom text. Find this listing, here.

With the code for a free gig, that means you can have me customize this list for free! There’s no reason to not do it!

I’m also offering custom packing lists. Find that listing, here.

Again, using the voucher lets you get a custom graphic for free! There’s no reason not to do it! Plus, I could use my time nursing and rocking and changing diapers to write poems in my head. What more could a writer momma ask for?

I’ll be posting here and on social media to give updates on the challenge! I’ll also be adding more custom graphic options to my Fiverr side business as we go through the challenge.

In the meantime, ever used Fiverr? Have suggestions for gigs I could offer? I’d appreciate any suggestions you might have! You can also help by voting for our blog as the best in the group by going here.
