Last week, my parents visited during the day since we were having some furniture delivered while Hubs was at work.

We went out to lunch (and had mostly heart-healthy salads) and then did some shopping. My dad hit up a few pawn shops and my mom and I went to Target.

While we were at Target, we found a blanket that seemed to have been made just for me. And even though it was on sale, I figured I didn’t need it so I was prepared to leave it behind. Until my mom decided I needed it and bought it for me.

I love the colors (Go figure.)

It’s all soft and blue and yellow and gray. And perfect for me. I mean, us. I mean, our living room. I love how the yellow is subtle (really I do) but is also the perfect accent to the bright blue and classic gray.

It looks pretty good with the yellow pillows that I don’t really like that came with our couch.

But not super great with this green polka dot one, even though it doesn’t look that bad here.

Maybe I’ll get to buy some new blue pillows now! Or white ones…wouldn’t those look good popping off the bright blue of the blanket?

Needless to say, I’ve been cuddled up under my new favorite find pretty much all day for the past week. In a small way, it almost makes me not yearn for spring and warm weather. Almost.
