A couple weeks ago, we visited our parents and while we were at the in-laws, we did a little exploring in their basement storage area and we found Wyatt’s childhood teddy bear.

Cute, right? We decided he had to come home with us to live so we scooped him up, along with a really cool glass jar.

When we got back to our house, I decided he needed a good washing before he’d be clean enough for a future kiddo to ever play with, and since there’s no better time than the present, I tucked him into a pillow case…

IMG_3607Perhaps I should mention that Hubs was less than enthused during this process. Apparently, he was worried Mr. Teddy wouldn’t make it out of his whirlpool bath in one piece. I kindly assured him everything would be okay, and that my mom had washed my Teddy* lots of time.

*My “Teddy” was actually a female bear named Cuddles, who rocked a kicky denim vest and skirt outfit.

Anyway, back the original topic at hand. After a few hours, Mr. Bear emerged from the washer, and several rounds in the dryer (still in the pillow case) smelling fresh, clean, and feeling soft and snuggly.

Now he’s ready to chill out in with Ribbit the Frog and Earp the Horse (both stuffed characters from Wyatt during our dating years.)

Do you have any cherished animals you’d like to give a nice bath? Any real animals that need a good bath?
