A few days ago, Hubs came home from work with a surprise for me. He doesn’t do this often, but when he does, it’s usually pretty awesome. This time was no exception.

Hershey Fondue Pot

Yup, that’s exactly what it looks like: A Hershey’s kiss fondue pot!

I love that it’s so cute and cheesy, er, chocolaty. Hardy-har-har.

And it can be used as a candy dish! 🙂

The price tag on this unused, still in the wrapper, Hershey’s dipping sticks included, kit was $19.99, but Hubs paid just five bucks for it from the classified ads through his work, which I think is awesome.

We’d actually seen a very similar version at a thrift shop recently and I’d become enamored with it. Plus, a small part of me has wanted one since I saw (and HAD to register for but didn’t receive) an awesome fondue kit at Bed Bath & Beyond while we were choosing our wedding registry.

I know it’s impractical and we’ll probably only use it a few times, but I love it just the same.

Plus, I actually have a fondue pot already. 1000 Loving Here bonus points for anyone who knows where it is or has ever noticed it.

Any guesses?

Nope?

Well, that’s okay, I’ll show you.

Yup, that yellow pot resting happily on top of my treasured Julia Child cookbook is also a fondue pot!

My friend Elizabeth gave it to me awhile back

Now, this fondue pot didn’t come with a stand, although it did come with the little heating element, but since it was yellow and I LOVED the shape and the wooden accents, I figured I’d just be content with admiring it from an unfunctional standpoint. Not anymore! This (also thrifted) fondue beauty can also be used now, if the occasion calls for something other than chocolate.

Can anyone say cheese, please?

Three cheers for a husband who knows how to give this girl what she likes! Has your honey given you anything lately that made you want to jump for joy and shout hooray? I’d love to hear about it!
