Last week, we reached a pretty big milestone. And when I say big, I mean big literally. As in a really big number. And when I say milestone…I literally mean MILEstone…if you know what I mean.

Honda mileage 1

Yup, we hit 299,999.9 miles in Wyatt’s Honda.

And then, you guessed it, we hit the big 3-0-0.

Actually, we hit 3-0-0-0-0-0-0.

Honda 300,000 miles 2

We’re now officially in the 300,000 mile club. And Hubs can wear his Honda Mile Makers shirt with even more pride.

We celebrated with a trip to Chick-fil-a, and the nines all rolled over to zeros a block or so after we left our house on the way there. Perfect timing so we could both be in the car (he thought he would make it on the way home from work, but barely made it into the driveway with a few tenths of a mile to go).

Chik-fil-a Trip

It’s a 1990 Honda Accord, with no air conditioner, and until recently, no radio. (It was stolen from the parking lot at our old apartment two Christmases ago and Hubs just replaced it this past month. You can read about when it was stolen,ย hereย and stay tuned for a post about replacing the radio.) Still, we have pretty strong feelings for this little car.

It was an important milestone to document for future memories, for sure.

Honda 300,000 miles

We are in the market (kind of) for a car to eventually replace Rhonda, but as of right now, we’re just not ready to say goodbye yet. We know she’s got a lot more trips left in her.

And since we now have little CR-V as our newer, nicer wheels, we’re in no rush to say goodbye to the Accord.

New CRV

We really are Honda people, guys. Maybe because we value long-term relationships. We’ve been together for almost 10 years now, after all. And we’ve had a lot of great memories in those 10 years, several of which have involved ol’ Rhonda the Honda.

My how time, and miles, fly by, huh?
